Job Overview and Responsibilities
This is a Limited Term position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or conversion to a permanent role.
Under the guidance of the Supervising Registered Nurse II/III within the Correctional Facility (CF), and following the clinical direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), CF, along with other licensed nursing professionals, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is tasked with performing a variety of patient care functions and associated non-professional health care duties across diverse treatment facilities and healthcare environments. The CNA will primarily focus on delivering fundamental nursing care tasks, assisting patients with their physical and personal care needs, supporting activities of daily living, and providing ambulatory assistance as required.Key Qualifications:
A valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Health Services is mandatory.
Candidates eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this role.

New candidates to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice must undergo a background investigation process, including Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment, followed by annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
