Position Summary:
The Assistant Retail Store Manager will undergo comprehensive training to master all facets of store management. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience while working closely with the Area Retail Manager and other key team members. You will play a vital role in fostering customer loyalty and building enduring relationships through our renowned customer service and premium product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide customers through our signature fitting experience.
  • Recommend suitable accessories and educate customers on their benefits.
  • Generate leads for industrial sales.
  • Meet and surpass daily sales and productivity targets.
  • Ensure the sales floor is well-presented and adheres to cleanliness standards.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge and operational standards.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with legal regulations.
  • Assist in daily store operations and collaborate with the Area Retail Manager on inventory management.
  • Support the Area Retail Manager in understanding labor models and monthly budgets.
  • Temporarily take on Store Manager duties when necessary.
  • Provide coverage in the local market as directed by management.
  • Identify training needs and assist in implementing training programs.
  • Participate in special projects, including store openings and remodels.
  • Contribute to maintaining high employee morale.

Additional Responsibilities:
Maintain effective communication through our electronic systems, uphold quality service standards, and adhere to company policies. Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail.
  • Results-driven with strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Red Wing Brands' mission and values, experience with profit and loss management, and a passion for innovative ideas that drive growth.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks requiring bending and squatting, and stand for extended periods. Duties may include housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining the store environment.

Work Environment:
Retail setting focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
