Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission/Civil Engineer to join our team at Indotronix International Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive civil/structural engineering design services for transmission facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide civil engineering expertise to transmission line engineering analysis, route analysis and selection, calculations for line design, and specify materials and evaluate bid documents and technical submittals.
  • Acquire all necessary construction approvals and permits from the authority having jurisdiction.
  • Develop economical, technically feasible, reliable transmission civil/structural designs with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Independently scope, route, and site transmission line projects and evaluate alternatives to find best value.
  • Provide mentoring, leadership, training, and direction to fellow staff members and provide technical design and project peer review.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and schedule input for use in company budgeting procedures.
  • Evaluate, benchmark, and make recommendations for the creation and improvements of substation and transmission standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate and interact professionally with internal and external customers and stakeholders to ensure a successful project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited school and 5 years industry experience as a practicing engineer, and must be a licensed PE. If no PE license then must have 8+ years as a practicing engineer.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of utility setting with specific experience in the areas of civil, structural, and/or transmission engineering design.
  • Structural experience involving transmission pole design for projects up to 230kV.
  • Transmission line design experience including overhead line design up to 230kV or underground line design up to 230kV.
  • Skills such as analytical, interpersonal, and communication.
Work Environment

General office environment. Travel may be required up to 25% of work hours and may consist of travel to remote parts of Nevada in order to scope substation sites or transmission alignments and support design and construction. Walking over rugged terrain at high elevation may be required.
