Electrical Substation Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to join our design team at Meade Engineering, Inc. (MEI). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of high and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for large-scale data center campuses.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive designs for electrical substations, including physical design, transmission line design, and high/medium voltage power distribution.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline design teams, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Lead QA/QC process and sign off on engineering documents.
- Perform substation testing and commissioning as needed.
- 7+ years of Professional Substation Engineering design experience designing high/medium voltage power distribution, physical design, transmission line design, etc.
- Valid P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working independently, managing priorities, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives.
