About the Role
We are in search of a Logistics Consolidation Specialist to become a vital member of our high-performing logistics team. This role focuses on the effective planning of customer shipments, ensuring adherence to both customer and retailer standards. Our team leverages technology daily to achieve optimal results. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with operational, warehouse, and carrier teams to ensure all planned shipments align with RJW standards and meet customer objectives.
  • Identify and address gaps in current processes and systems, developing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication in all written and verbal interactions across various business departments.
  • Understand different transport modes and planning strategies that enhance revenue generation.
  • Calculate optimal transit times and transport modes based on customer requirements and expectations.
  • Consider the broader implications of load planning decisions, using context to inform planning processes.
  • Provide regular feedback to management and know when to escalate issues or concerns.
  • Articulate your decision-making processes regarding orders and shipments to a managerial audience.
  • Assume full responsibility for all activities related to load planning.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain management.
  • Availability to work in-office when requested with prior notice.

  • Familiarity with transit times, scheduling, and basic brokerage concepts.

  • Highly organized and efficient, capable of documenting updates and processes for weekly discussions with management.
