Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist licensed providers with patient examinations and procedures.
2. Perform various clinical tasks, including drawing blood, collecting urine specimens, and administering immunizations.
3. Evaluate and document patient vital signs, prepare and record patient information, and refill prescriptions as needed.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including daily filing and scanning of medical correspondence.
5. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Certification from AAMA or AMT required within 90 days of hire date.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital standards of behavior.
Working Conditions:
1. Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
2. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
3. Ability to extend body and limbs to reach items.
