Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Fire Protection Technology Instructor to join our team as an Adjunct Faculty member. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the Fire Protection Technology program, providing expert instruction and guidance to help students achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Fire Protection Technology courses, including lectures, labs, and demonstrations, to students at various levels of academic preparation.
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans, using a variety of teaching methods and technologies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and skills.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Fire Protection Technology and incorporate relevant industry trends and best practices into course instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and improvements.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, such as committee work, professional development, and community outreach.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Fire Protection Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 3 years of experience in Fire Protection Technology, with a strong background in teaching and instruction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Ability to use technology, including learning management systems, to support teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
