Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at Coffman Engineers. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire protection systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement fire protection systems, including suppression systems, fire detection, alarm, and mass notification systems.
  • Perform building and fire code analysis and interpretation.
  • Manage day-to-day contacts with internal and external clients while utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations.
  • Perform research and documentation for internal and external distribution.
  • Project management skills for managing internal projects as well as external client needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Sciences, or related engineering field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred).
  • Minimum of five years working experience in the Fire Protection profession.
  • Experience with the current version of AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
