Job Summary

The Assistant General Manager is a key leadership role responsible for assisting the General Manager in the management of store operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and driving business growth. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, leadership, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Store Operations: Assist the General Manager in managing store operations, including opening and closing the store, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Leadership Development: Develop and implement strategies to enhance leadership skills, promote associate morale, and drive business results.
  • Financial Management: Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving initiatives to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with the Base Camp Support Staff to ensure proper merchandise assortment and inventory levels.
  • Marketing and Advertising: Communicate and implement all advertising and marketing initiatives, including visual presentation, pricing, and promotions.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting associate engagement, and addressing any employee concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in big box, high-volume management, with responsibility for one or more Sales Departments and Receiving or Front End experience.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze financial data, and proficiency in PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and data-based management systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
