Are you a seasoned Structural Design Engineer with a passion for leading large-scale transportation projects from concept to completion? We're seeking an experienced Rail Design Project Manager to join our dynamic team and oversee multidisciplinary transit design and engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for design-build projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget alignment, and adherence to corporate quality standards.
  • Oversee and manage project teams, including subconsultants, throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Participate in business development efforts by supporting marketing strategies and identifying new opportunities.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, including alternative concepts and solutions.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for project communications, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping and driving project success, from initial planning to final close-out.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture required.
  • State of Pennsylvania P.E. license or R.A. required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years' experience in engineering design management for civil rail and transit or transportation structures projects.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with a track record of delivering successful multidisciplinary design projects.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling, earned value analysis, and risk management strategies.
  • Experience with design contract commercial/legal terms and conditions.
  • Ability to co-locate in a project office within the State when required.
  • DBIA and/or PMP certifications (preferred but not required).
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
