We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer to join our team in New York, NY. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and Spanning-tree protocol, as well as experience with network platforms such as Cisco and Arista.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and troubleshoot new network implementations
  • Manage current and new processes for hardware and optics allocation and inventory
  • Complete Lab asset (and modules e.g., line cards) inventory management, registration to ReadyWorks, NMDB, and any future management platform identified
  • Lifecycle management of lab test gear (EoL/EoS/ EoVSS/ LDoS) including ensuring they run the latest certified code and/or code under cert as needed
  • Manage lab capacity, removal of no longer devices to free up rack space, track inbound to the lab devices, manage their physical installation, the DNS registration, out of band access, cable management & cleanup, produce monthly lab capacity and usage report
  • IPAM lab management, IPAM continuous design review
  • Manage the interoperability testbeds, drive their testing automations and increased efficiencies
  • cfg backups, preparations for power down/power up
  • Automated inventory management for lab-related needs (cables, optics, wraps, bins, terminal servers, jump hosts) reporting and proactive inventory replenishment
  • Design, present, and implement new lab processes and procedures
  • Lifecycle management of lab test gear (e.g., Ixia), ixia/test gear code upkeep, scheduling, virtual routers (Arista Cloud Vision CVP = used for bug management), simulated testbeds (e.g., CML)
  • Limited certifications, which will entail overall test setup/test plan/execution/reporting and presenting lab test results
  • Lab data wipes as needed
  • Monthly status
