POSITION SUMMARY:
The individual in this role will be primarily responsible for overseeing the management of incoming and outgoing parcel activities within the center's parcel operations. This position involves receiving, processing, staging, and delivering all packages using an electronic tracking system with minimal supervision. The team member will regularly interact with various levels of personnel within the organization and with clients. Proficiency in multiple computer systems and the ability to meet the physical demands of the role are essential.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate all shipping-related services and activities.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all incoming and outgoing parcels, prepare items for collection by delivery personnel, and sort packages as they arrive.
  • Utilize proprietary software and equipment to fulfill job responsibilities, ensuring proper handling of mobile equipment assigned daily.
  • May involve picking up and delivering customer packages throughout the facility.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating needs, suggesting alternatives, and resolving issues with minimal supervision.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare items for shipment, including wrapping, weighing, and labeling.
  • Utilize pallet jacks and other equipment for handling large packages as necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols regarding equipment and package handling.
  • Provide information to customers about shipping methods, company products, services, and pricing.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service by offering packaging assistance and maintaining inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Prioritize customer requests effectively.
  • Utilize sound judgment to address customer service challenges or refund requests.
  • Investigate mis-labeled packages and troubleshoot routine equipment issues.
  • May lead assigned shifts and guide the work of other team members.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously while following supervisor instructions.
  • Assist in training new team members and collate information from customers.
  • Operate the point of sale terminal, ensuring accurate collection of package handling fees.
  • Complete daily closing procedures on the point of sale system.
  • May assist in setting goals and developing skills for team members.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and managing inventory.
  • May operate business center equipment as needed.
  • Process customer orders, provide pricing information, and explain the benefits of services offered.
  • May involve picking up and delivering customer orders.
  • Follow all protocols regarding confidentiality and careful handling of documents.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for financial transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
  • At least six months of relevant experience preferred (Warehouse and/or Hospitality experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • High integrity and professionalism in communication.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to accurately input and record information into electronic systems.
  • Proficient with computer systems and quick to learn new software.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and moving packages.
  • Physical stamina to walk significant distances during shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, excluding breaks.
  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Consistent ability to bend and twist as needed.
  • Effective communication with customers and team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
