Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Specialist - Industrial Equipment Repair will be responsible for the installation, inspection, and repair of industrial equipment and plant process equipment. This includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, alter, install, maintain, and reset machinery and equipment, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Operate and maintain plant facilities systems, including electrical and plumbing systems.
- Use hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment such as drill presses, lathes, and pipe threading machines, to perform duties.
- Make minor parts and repairs as needed, including cutting and bending pipe and tubing.
- Test equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation, and perform regular maintenance and lubrication procedures.
- Clean up work areas and remove excess materials and debris.
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting, and maintain and install plumbing and sewer systems.
- Maintain and repair rubber extrusion lines and finishing equipment.
- Move equipment and machinery as needed, using a variety of equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
- Work from blueprints and specifications to ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; journeyman's card and/or 10 years of industrial experience preferred.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
Work Environment:
The Maintenance Specialist - Industrial Equipment Repair will work on the manufacturing floor and in the Maintenance Shop Area, and will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Salary:
The estimated salary for this position is $26.38 per hour, based on industry standards and the level of experience required.
