Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Summary: The Quality Assurance (QA) team at Recharge is dedicated to ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through automated testing frameworks, manual feature assessments, and product reliability oversight. One of the primary initiatives you will engage with is an analytics suite designed to assist merchants in understanding their business health, addressing customer concerns, and preparing for future growth. This product is essential to our merchant experience and serves as a foundational element for various other offerings. As a senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), your contributions will significantly influence our business trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with fellow engineers and product teams to pragmatically develop software solutions.
- Design and implement automation tests to monitor and uphold the integrity of Recharge product features as the codebase evolves.
- Evaluate merge requests and partner with engineers to comprehend and assess code prior to deployment.
- Provide mentorship to junior SDETs and participate in on-call rotations as necessary to support our products.
- Leverage your expertise to navigate engineering challenges.

Qualifications:
- Typically, 5+ years of relevant software development experience with Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with various automated testing frameworks, including Playwright, TestCafe, or similar end-to-end testing tools.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience in the ecommerce sector is preferred.
- Experience with analytics or time-series data products is advantageous.
