Position Overview

Nuasin Next Generation Charter School is actively seeking passionate and mission-driven educators who are eager to contribute to the educational journey of our students and their families. Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $69,998.00 and $100,000.00 for candidates working in New York City. However, Nuasin does not impose a salary cap, and the final offer will be based on various factors, including experience, education, and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum aligned with state standards.
  • Demonstrate mastery of the subject matter being taught.
  • Modify lesson plans to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Create engaging class activities to enhance learning.
  • Monitor individual student performance and provide feedback to parents and school leadership.
  • Design lessons and deliver instruction in the designated subject area.
  • Evaluate students' abilities, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Adjust lessons based on class size variations.
  • Assess and grade student assignments and examinations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
  • Work closely with individual students to challenge and enhance their skills.
  • Prepare students for state-mandated standardized assessments.
  • Establish and uphold classroom rules and administrative policies.
  • Supervise students outside the classroom, including during lunch or detention.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, ideally in education.
  • Valid New York Teaching certification.
  • Experience in a supervised classroom setting.
