Impact of Role

As part of the Medicaid expansion initiative, the Financial Reporting Specialist will significantly contribute to the external reporting functions for various states. The assignments are moderately to highly complex, encompassing data consolidation, preparation, reconciliation, and reporting submissions. Additionally, this position will support data analysis for both internal and external stakeholders, utilizing tools such as SQL, Python, or other data processing technologies as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Fewer than 5 years of experience in financial accounting or reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in financial reporting and/or data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the health insurance sector, specifically in Finance or Accounting.
  • Familiarity with large data sets, querying, or result consolidation for reporting; exposure to SQL or similar querying tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

This position allows for a hybrid work environment, requiring some in-office presence while providing flexibility for remote work.
