Job Summary

The Bursar's Office of Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a Financial Specialist III. The position is located on the Downtown Campus and duties include weekly monitoring and maintenance of student accounts, collection of accounts receivable, compilation of weekly and/or monthly departmental reports, providing customer service to students, staff, faculty, and other duties as needed to support the effective operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain student accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

• Collect and manage accounts receivable, maintaining a high level of customer service and communication with students and staff.

• Compile and analyze departmental reports, providing insights and recommendations to support financial decision-making.

• Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and faculty, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field, and one year of related experience, or equivalent.

• Strong computer skills, with experience in basic accounting and cash handling.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.

• Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

• PeopleSoft experience preferred and Excel experience required.
