About the Role

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation Center team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing exercise training programs for patients, assessing their progress, and providing personalized guidance to help them achieve their health and fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized exercise training programs for patients with cardiac conditions
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients before, during, and after exercise to monitor their progress and adjust programs as needed
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including EKG, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, and shortness of breath and fatigue ratings, during exercise sessions
  • Recognize and respond to any adverse reactions or premature termination of exercise sessions
  • Collaborate with the RN Rehabilitation Coordinator to revise and implement patient training sessions, tailoring instructions to meet individual learning needs
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (preferred) or willingness to obtain within one year of start date
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Cardiac Rehab programs (preferred)
  • Previous experience in dysrhythmia detection and identification, Rehabilitation/Adult Fitness programs, and designing exercise prescriptions (preferred)
