About the Role

As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator at the University of California, Irvine, you will play a vital role in implementing an exercise and education program to promote optimal cardiac health for clients. Working closely with the Medical Director, you will develop, implement, and evaluate program goals and objectives to drive positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement an exercise and education program to promote optimal cardiac health
  • Develop and implement program goals and objectives with the Medical Director
  • Orient new staff members to the daily operations of the unit
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to evaluate program effectiveness

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current California RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • 30 CEU's mandatory for RN renewals, including some related to Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Completion of a basic dysrhythmia course
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications

We welcome applicants with:

  • Experience in cardiac rehabilitation nursing
  • Membership in the CR association
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
