Job Specialty: Inpatient Wound Care
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 10 Hour Variable
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. Will consider first-time travelers with prior wound care experience.
License: Registered Nurse (RN) - Must have completed a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
Certifications:
- BLS (required)
- Wound care certification (required)
- Ostomy certification (CWOCN) (required)
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized care for a diverse range of wound care patients, including but not limited to those with diabetic foot wounds, vascular wounds, and pressure injuries.
• Manage patient ratios typically averaging one patient per hour, depending on complexity.
• Collaborate closely with a supportive inpatient team, including multiple RNs.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for patient documentation.
• Possess strong autonomy and independence while maintaining a tight-knit, family-like team environment.
• Potential to float between inpatient and outpatient care as needed.
• Engage in a thorough orientation process lasting 1-2 weeks for the facility and unit.
• Work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no nights, weekends, or major holidays.
• Adhere to professional appearance standards by wearing navy blue scrubs.
