Membership Services Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Membership Services Representative to join our team at the Montclair YMCA. As a key member of our membership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members, promoting our programs and services, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to members, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Sell memberships and programs, promoting our services and encouraging members to take advantage of our offerings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with members, volunteers, and staff, fostering a positive and welcoming environment at the YMCA.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement activities, representing the YMCA at local events and promoting our mission and values.
- Collaborate with the membership team to achieve sales and retention goals, contributing to the overall success of our membership program.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on policies, procedures, and best practices in customer service and sales.
- Previous experience in a customer-oriented environment, preferably in a membership or sales role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment.
