We are currently looking for a meticulous and organized Production Engineering Coordinator to support our production team on a temporary basis. This role will focus on documenting team activities and processes, converting them into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. The successful candidate will also evaluate existing production schedules and workflows to pinpoint areas for enhancement, inefficiencies, and waste, and will propose actionable solutions to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document production team activities and processes to develop thorough SOPs and work instructions.
  • Analyze current production schedules and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Detect bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste in production processes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement process enhancements and boost operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of documentation for production processes and procedures.
  • Support the production team with various administrative tasks as required.
  • Engage in team meetings and share insights for process improvements.
  • Maintain precise records and documentation of production activities and enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards in all documentation and processes.
  • Assist in training team members on new processes and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with production processes and lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn and embrace new challenges in a dynamic environment.
