Job Title: Wi-Fi Test Engineer

Xavem Cloud is seeking a highly skilled Wi-Fi Test Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure wireless features on Macintosh computers and other client products meet our high standards.
  • Design and maintain calibrated test beds for accurate wireless performance measurements, ensuring our products deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain test documentation, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
  • Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs using debugging and performance analysis tools, driving continuous improvement.
  • Automate test cases to enhance productivity and efficiency, streamlining our testing processes.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Test Engineer with a strong background in wireless technologies.
  • Deep understanding and prior experience working on 802.11 MAC/PHY protocols, ensuring our products excel in wireless performance.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, enabling seamless communication between devices.
  • Ability to bring up Wi-Fi test beds, including turntables and emulators, to simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Proficiency in executing Python scripts, automating tasks, and enhancing testing efficiency.
  • Understanding of causes for rate vs range loss, low throughput, and ability to test Wi-Fi and Bluetooth co-existence losses.
  • Experience using network tools like iPerf and Wireshark, ensuring our products meet the highest standards.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems, including MacOS and Unix, ensuring our products are compatible and perform well across various platforms.
  • Good debugging experience, with white box testing experience a plus, driving continuous improvement and quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
