Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Professional to join our team at Dreams and Visions. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for youth to thrive.

As an Associate Professional, you will be responsible for providing supervision to employees, participating in Child and Family Team Meetings, and ensuring the health and well-being of all clients in our care. You will also train and develop staff in our program philosophy, including setting goals and conducting performance evaluations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing adequate supervision to employees
  • Participating and contributing to Child and Family Team Meetings
  • Ensuring the health and well-being of all clients in our care
  • Training and developing staff in the program philosophy
  • Being accessible to children in crisis

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, or related field, preferred
  • Coursework/Background in Trauma-informed Care, Crisis Intervention, and Positive Behavior Support
  • 2 years' Experience working with adolescents in a residential setting, a plus

Physical Requirements:

In the event of a client becoming violent, the incumbent must maintain sufficient physical ability to control and rapidly extricate themselves and clients from buildings or initiate physical interventions to ensure safety.

Additional Requirements:

Must have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to demonstrate effective self-regulation strategies. Must be coachable and willing to learn. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening and background check.
