Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a respectful and professional manner, addressing their needs and concerns while fostering positive relationships.
  • Accurately measure and document vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information. Employ critical thinking skills to observe and report significant patient symptoms and changes in condition, promptly notifying practitioners of any urgent issues.
  • Anticipate the needs of healthcare providers during patient interactions and adapt to changes in procedures or workload as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the healthcare team, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations and adhering to established protocols.
  • Prepare examination rooms and medical instruments for procedures, assisting practitioners with various patient care tasks and specimen collection as required.
  • Review and explain medical instructions and educational materials to patients and their families regarding upcoming tests, procedures, and treatments.
  • Coordinate with nursing supervisors and other departments to uphold patient care standards.
  • Apply and remove dressings as directed by practitioners, ensuring compliance with training and competency requirements.

  • Compile and prepare clinical records for patient encounters, facilitating timely follow-up on diagnostic results and scheduling needs.
  • Encourage effective communication among team members, ensuring that information is shared accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist patients with non-clinical inquiries and direct clinical concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Manage incoming calls, providing information and scheduling appointments based on clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless patient care and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Maintain familiarity with clinic operations, coding practices, and individual practitioner preferences.
  • Support practitioners by gathering necessary documentation and alerting them to any issues that may arise.
  • Guide patients to the appropriate resources for financial inquiries.
