Job Summary

Mental Health Kokua is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Assistant to join our team. As a Residential Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs in a community-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance and support to residents in daily living skills, such as cooking, personal grooming, and interpersonal communication.
  2. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Teach residents essential life skills, including cooking, personal care, and social interaction.
  3. Safety and Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations according to MHK policies and report incidents to supervisors.
  4. Programming and Activities: Plan and provide social, recreational, educational, and vocational activities that cater to residents' interests.
  5. Household Operations: Assist with household tasks, such as shopping, chore planning, and maintenance.
  6. Recovery and Empowerment: Support residents in their recovery journey, promoting self-directed living and personal growth.
  7. Service Planning and Documentation: Assist residents in achieving service plan goals and objectives, and maintain accurate clinical records.
  8. Resident Supervision: Provide care and supervision to residents, including crisis management and documentation.
  9. Medication Monitoring: Observe and document residents' medication adherence according to MHK policy.
  10. Work Rules and Code of Ethics: Adhere to and maintain current MHK work rules and code of conduct/ethics.
  11. Clinical Supervision: Participate in clinical supervision with a MHK mental health professional to discuss clinical issues and improve service effectiveness.
Requirements

Mental Health Kokua requires a High School diploma for this role.
