Position Summary:

The Kitchen Shift Supervisor plays a crucial role in guiding our culinary team, collaborating closely with the General Manager and Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and follow guidance, which are essential for success at Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily operations and peak service times in the Manager Logbook.
  • Propose enhancements to service quality and overall restaurant efficiency.
  • Train kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, health and safety standards, and customer service practices.
  • Ensure the highest quality of food is served to our patrons.
  • Address any guest or employee concerns as they arise.
  • Complete food manager certification, provided by Goodfellas Pizzeria.
  • Oversee inventory management of food supplies, restocking as necessary.
  • Adhere to all health and sanitation guidelines, along with safety protocols.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Familiarity with food safety regulations is preferred; a willingness to learn is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while managing them.
  • Proficient in using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the restaurant industry is advantageous but not essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including 10-hour shifts.
