Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a vital contributor to our Calls Engineering team, utilizing API-first integrations with carriers such as Twilio and others.

- Define and refine our system architecture and design in alignment with business requirements and scalability.
- Lead the planning, road mapping, and scoping efforts to align with the overarching team strategy and vision.
- Advocate for the customer’s perspective in every discussion and decision, ensuring the development of top-tier products that resonate with our users.
- Engage in broader, cross-functional Engineering initiatives at EverQuote.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in GoLang, Java, or other server-side programming languages, particularly in a software product environment.
- Experience with microservice architecture and a foundational understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong interest in non-functional aspects such as observability, testing, performance, and security.
- Proficient in quickly diagnosing and resolving code issues, while assisting others in overcoming obstacles.
- Enthusiastic about collaborating with product and design teams to create positive user experiences.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, eager to contribute to business growth, and enjoy teamwork.
- Comfortable leveraging data to support and validate your ideas.
This role requires a hybrid work arrangement.
