We are in search of a Senior Pricing Actuary to deliver technical guidance on pricing initiatives and serve as the primary actuarial business partner for Liability coverages, which may encompass Casualty, Construction, and Environmental risks. This role will report to the VP - Head of Pricing, Casualty, and may oversee 1 to 2 actuarial analysts.

This position offers flexibility in location and supports a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform profitability assessments and analyze segment and sub-segment performance to enhance precise risk pricing.
  • Introduce innovative actuarial methodologies to tackle complex General Liability exposures, including low frequency, high severity scenarios.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, providing insights to enhance portfolio performance and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Act as the actuarial pricing lead in conjunction with Argo Predictive Modeling to formulate predictive analytic pricing strategies for Casualty, Construction, and Environmental sectors.
  • Create reports that aid the business in managing critical exposures and tracking the execution of strategic underwriting initiatives.
  • Oversee loss ratio planning and reforecasting for designated business units.
  • Engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including underwriting, claims, finance, and IT.
  • Guide, mentor, and develop junior actuarial team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • ACAS designation required; FCAS preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of actuarial pricing experience, with at least 2 years focused on Commercial General Liability; experience in Construction, Excess Casualty, or Environmental Pricing is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to management and various functional areas.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to creatively solve problems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be necessary, estimated at less than 15% of the time.

The salary range provided will be aligned with the candidate's experience. In addition to the base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on both company and individual performance, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
