We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst specializing in Pricing to significantly influence our actuarial pricing framework. This role necessitates a collaborative approach with diverse business partners to enhance our portfolio and promote ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with cross-disciplinary teams, including underwriting, claims, and IT specialists.
- Employ data analysis tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Excel for modeling and analytical tasks.
- Perform actuarial and financial assessments to boost portfolio performance.
- Deliver insights aimed at enhancing business opportunities and initiatives.
- Contribute to loss ratio planning and rate forecasting activities.
- Investigate new tools to enhance efficiency and automation.
- Develop datasets and reports for thorough analysis.
- Support rate filing processes as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or Finance.
- Progress towards ACAS certification with 3+ completed exams or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience in commercial lines.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, or similar.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in predictive modeling and rate filings is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
