Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and financial teams to analyze data and develop actuarial models that inform our pricing strategy.
  • Work with business partners to identify opportunities for improvement and develop recommendations for optimizing our portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain complex actuarial models using R, Python, SQL, and Excel, and ensure their accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide actuarial support for rate filings and regulatory submissions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our actuarial models and pricing strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related field, with 3+ exams in current pursuit of ACAS or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of actuarial experience, preferably in commercial lines, with a strong understanding of insurance products and pricing.
  • Proficiency in at least one coding language (SQL, R, Python, SAS, VBA, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
