- Advocate for professional Nursing practice and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Master's degree in Nursing with an emphasis on the Clinical Nurse Specialist role
- Minimum three years acute care nursing experience in specific area of specialty
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- National clinical certification in assigned area of practice within six months of employment
