Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Oriental Trading Company. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute test plans/scripts to ensure the highest level of quality is delivered
  • Design system integration, regression, and UAT testing solutions utilizing business/functional requirements to follow Adaptive/Responsive development standards
  • Ensure software development standards, policies and documented requirements are met by generating traceability matrices and reports
  • Provide execution and defect metrics to project leadership
  • Utilize provided tool sets to efficiently/effectively test new software development
  • Utilize provided tool sets to develop and run automated test suites used to perform regression testing
  • Conduct defect management and work with technical and business teams to resolve functional and non-functional issues and ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Understand how and why clients use the application
  • Become a subject matter expert on product features/functionality
  • Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
  • Must be able to attend face to face meetings on short or little advance notice
  • Work requires in-person collaboration among colleagues and contractors

Requirements:

  • Understand generally accepted analysis and design techniques
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and able to translate complex concepts/problems into clear and concise language
  • Demonstrate effectiveness in complex problem-solving situations
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and exceptional planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to interface with customers, clients and other departments and respond to requests both in written and verbal form
  • Possess effective/appropriate communication skills that will help in both determining the customer's/user's exact needs and in disseminating the information to appropriate personnel
  • Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel at all levels

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software/BA/QA Engineer or related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience translating business/functional requirements into test requirements
  • 2+ years of experience using SQL
  • 2+ years of experience using automated testing tools such as TestComplete, Selenium, QuickTest Pro, preferred
  • Experience with Web, Mobile and API testing technologies and tools, preferred
  • Experience with iSeries applications, preferred
