Diagnostic Radiology Technologist

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Acquire and document patient histories, verifying patient identification and physician orders.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, applying principles of radiation protection and complying with regulations.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, following policy for malfunctions or quality control failures, and utilizing ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients and families prior to each exam.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the department, assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • Training gained at the student level.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) upon hire.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration from the ARRT within 180 days.
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
