Radiology Technologist

As a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will be responsible for performing accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. You will work under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, ensuring good clinical skills and providing the best possible images for interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostic Exam Performance: Verify patient identification and physician orders, acquire accurate patient histories, and document in the medical record.
- Patient Care: Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety, perform radiographic and related patient care procedures, and ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner.
- Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment, follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures, and minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with customers, administrative staff, medical staff, and peers, and provide procedural information/education to patients/families prior to each exam.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
- Certifications: CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT, CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT, CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC.
