Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiology.

Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, you will verify patient identity, review patient medical records, and interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors. You will also explain procedures to patients, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up.

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will set up equipment, acquire appropriate images, review images, make initial observations, document exceptions from established protocols, and communicate data to radiologists. You will also recognize and respond to medical emergencies as appropriate and provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.

Key qualifications for this role include registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) within 6 months of hire. One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology is also required.
