About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Healthcare Educator. In this position, you will be responsible for orienting and educating nursing staff to ensure safe and effective patient care. Your primary focus will be on developing education programs in response to staff needs, teaching current accepted patient care and nursing center practices, and performing annual competency testing and evaluation.

Responsibilities:
  • Orient and educate all nursing personnel in the nursing center
  • Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teach current accepted patient care and nursing center practices
  • Supervise and monitor new nursing employees throughout their individualized orientation period
  • Perform annual competency testing and evaluation, clinically appraise nursing staff performance to identify areas for education
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess a graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current RN license. A minimum three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience is preferred, with two years of clinical experience in long-term care nursing and one year as an educator also preferred. Experience in Gerontology and training in adult learning are highly valued.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is $42 - $45 per hour, depending on experience.
