Job Summary:
Sevita is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Director to oversee the program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities. As a Program Director, you will be responsible for ensuring each individual is provided with guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community, including organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
- Manage program staff members, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
- Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
- Manage the implementation of program planning, monitor delivery of services and supports, and ensure services are consistent, engaging, and relevant to the individuals served.
- Must be available on-call to support staff, find coverage or cover shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Qualified as a Designated Coordinator per the following:
- A baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
- An associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
- A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
- A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
- Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
