Position Summary:

The Plant Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the production and operational activities at our facility. This position is pivotal in ensuring that our manufacturing processes align with quality standards and profitability objectives. The Plant Manager will lead a dedicated team, ensuring exceptional service delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of production staff, fostering a skilled workforce.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to enhance team productivity and retain top talent.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team, providing coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Oversee disciplinary actions and employee terminations in accordance with company policies.

Core Duties:

  • Guide the cross-functional team from order placement to the delivery of customized crane systems and OEM products.
  • Collaborate with sales and service leaders to ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the delivery and installation phases.
  • Assist in developing the annual budget in partnership with regional sales and service managers, driving efforts to meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Lead project management and engineering teams to track project progress, ensuring financial objectives are met and customer satisfaction is prioritized.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through effective leadership practices.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management as required.
  • Supervise the procurement and maintenance of equipment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and provide necessary guidance.
  • Identify training needs and develop plans to address them.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, exemplifying excellent customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret manufacturing financial statements.
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in industrial manufacturing or fabrication.
  • Experience managing multiple custom-engineered projects simultaneously.
  • Proven responsibility in engineering and project management.
  • Experience overseeing operations across multiple sites.
  • Familiarity with crane systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
