This position serves as the primary liaison for coalition members, ensuring they have access to essential prevention resources and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for community coalitions, teams, and task forces within the designated region.
  • Provide comprehensive information and resources related to substance use prevention.
  • Deliver technical assistance and training to strengthen the coalitions' prevention initiatives.
  • Address inquiries regarding prevention services and information across the geographical area.
  • Assist in performing community and coalition needs assessments.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategic work plans.
  • Engage in state-wide prevention training and resource networking.
  • Prepare and submit necessary progress reports, billing documentation, and data sets.
  • Support the creation of annual reports and quality improvement metrics.
  • Participate in the Merchant Education Campaign and attend relevant conferences and training sessions.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration, or a related discipline; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of one year of professional experience in a social service environment; OR
  • Associate's degree in a related area with at least two years of professional experience in a social service setting.

Missouri Substance Abuse Prevention Associate (MSAPA) credential is required within six months of employment for 75% FTE staff. Attendance at Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) is mandatory within nine months of employment for 75% FTE staff.

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history, driving record, and abuse/neglect history.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the start of employment.
  • Fulfillment of all training requirements, including Relias Learning, at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Must possess reliable transportation for client transport.
  • Proof of valid and current auto insurance is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is classified as sedentary work, which involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Sedentary work typically involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing.
