Job Overview

Position: Patient Services Eligibility Specialist

Compensation: $20-22/hr.

Role Summary:

As a Patient Services Eligibility Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to manage incoming inquiries from patients concerning their financial obligations, including bills and outstanding balances. You will conduct thorough insurance evaluations and provide clear explanations regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle patient calls with professionalism and empathy.
  • Perform insurance verification and prior authorization processes efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and follow-up actions.
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance coverage and benefits.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance verification and prior authorizations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Experience with patient intake processes and referrals is essential.
  • Familiarity with Medicare insurance verification is mandatory.
  • Experience in government insurance collections is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
