Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will provide financial, administrative, and clerical services to our busy Finance Department. This role involves processing incoming vendor invoices, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling vendor statements. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounts payable or accounting, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of MAS90/200/Sage100 is a plus. If you have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are detail-oriented, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming vendor invoices and match them against purchase orders or obtain approval from appropriate individuals within the company
- Identify any discrepancies, short shipments, price discrepancies, and other charges and work with vendors to resolve issues
- Enter invoices into the company's ERP computer system
- Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices have been received and entered into the system
- Match up vendor payments with open invoices, file backup, and mail payments or send remittance advice to vendors
- Respond to all vendor inquiries via email and telephone
Requirements:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or accounting preferred
- Organization and data entry skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Knowledge of MAS90/200/Sage100 a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
