At NBCUniversal, we are committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our EHS Operations and Technology Team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide EHS support to NBCUniversal facilities, including Stamford and Monroe, CT locations, as well as domestic and international remote events.
- Develop and implement EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential EHS hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with management and production teams to ensure EHS training and awareness.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop recommendations for prevention.
- Develop and maintain EHS reports and statistics, including KPIs and leading/lagging indicators.
- Bachelor's degree in a safety, occupational health, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the EHS field or the television and/or live entertainment industry.
- Proven experience in implementing EHS programs and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Strong technical knowledge of EHS principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
