We are seeking an Automotive Claims Specialist II to enhance our vehicle operations team at Cox Automotive. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage buyer-seller interactions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate the return of vehicles for thorough inspections. Your specific tasks will include:
  • Reviewing customer claims to ensure compliance with Manheim's National Arbitration policies and account-specific guidelines.
  • Investigating increasingly complex cases that require independent decision-making and minimal senior staff involvement.
  • Collaborating with various departments involved in the complaint process, including reconditioning, front office, dealer services, and vehicle entry.
  • Utilizing appropriate resources to conduct investigations and ensure relevant inspections, documentation, and communication are completed to advance cases toward resolution.
  • Exercising financial approval authority to resolve claims effectively.
  • Evaluating claims by gathering, comparing, and validating diverse information.
  • Facilitating communication for resolution through various channels, including telephone, email, and in-person discussions.
  • Mediating disputes and negotiating repair costs or pricing of contested vehicles to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate records for each arbitration case, ensuring all documentation, including invoices and settlement agreements, is correct.
  • Engaging with supervisors to determine if escalation is necessary.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Your qualifications should include:

Minimum Requirements:
  • A high school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in claims management, claims investigation, or conflict resolution (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • The ability to adapt in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive, mechanical, or body shop settings is strongly preferred.
