  • Assist teachers and professionals with preparation and delivery of instructional materials, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.
  • Support students in one-on-one and small group activities, promoting social and emotional growth.
  • Assist with transferring students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Care for student needs, including feeding, cleaning, diapering, and toileting, as required.
  • Assist with implementing goals and objectives for each student, working closely with teachers and ancillary staff.
  • Manage and redirect students who may be disruptive or combative, maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
  • Supervise students on the playground, cafeteria, restrooms, and hallways, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in staff meetings and in-service training, staying up-to-date on best practices and policies.
  • Perform clerical duties for teachers, supporting the administrative needs of the school.
  • Perform substitute duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Work Environment

Work hours will be determined by the school district and individual schools, within the parameters of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
