Job Overview

Position: Facilities Engineer

Department: Clubhouse/Maintenance

Reports to: Engineering Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)

SUMMARY


Responsible for the upkeep of the entire facility, including the physical structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and associated equipment, in alignment with energy conservation and preventive maintenance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Conduct regular inspections and visually evaluate the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and other related equipment.

Ensure the completion of all routine maintenance in public areas, meeting rooms, service areas, and grounds. Oversee the completion of repairs, replacements, and renovation projects across all sectors.

Implement effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs, providing specialized training for other departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy.

Perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks. Actively participate in training related to fire prevention, environmental health and safety, and engineering systems. Attend all relevant meetings concerning operations, including department, fire, safety, health, and quality improvement. Participate in morning inspections as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization of fitness equipment and facilities. Ensure a positive experience for every guest; uphold effective guest relations. Undertake special projects as assigned by management. Stay informed on the latest developments relevant to the department and the facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Demonstrated excellence in customer service.

Must exhibit a willingness to learn and engage in new engineering programs, possess strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and motivation.

Flexibility in scheduling is required, including evenings and weekends.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in reading and interpreting product labeling. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or associates.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to address problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
