About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and controls to protect our systems and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Security Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential security risks to our systems and data, and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate those risks.
  • Implement Security Controls: Design and implement security controls to prevent unauthorized access to our systems and data, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and encryption.
  • Monitor and Analyze Security Threats: Continuously monitor our systems and data for security threats, and analyze those threats to determine the level of risk and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate those risks.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our development, operations, and compliance teams to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of our business.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Threats: Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate those threats.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security policy development, risk assessment, and security control implementation.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of security policies, procedures, and controls; experience with security frameworks and standards; ability to analyze complex security threats and develop strategies to mitigate or eliminate those threats.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification preferred.
