Job Title: Custom Applicator

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create relationships with local farmers to acquire knowledge on their chemical and fertilizer needs.
  2. Manage your time in the field by operating a sprayer/airflow machine while loading and applying products safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  3. Receive hands-on experience and technical skills by handling various types of machinery and routine equipment maintenance.

Requirements
  1. As directed, apply fertilizer and crop protection products. May require use of a high clearance sprayer or floater.
  2. Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
  3. Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  4. Educate customers on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how you can continue to support them with products and services.
  5. Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
  6. Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
  7. Lift and load products, 1-2 hours per day.
  8. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives, and commissions.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors, which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills, and certifications.
