As a valued member of our team, you will create a safe, enjoyable, and clean atmosphere for the pets in our facility. All new hires are required to complete an online training program in pet care, followed by three days of hands-on training.
Essential Duties:
- Walk multiple dogs in varying weather conditions.
- Conduct initial consultations with new clients and gather necessary information.
- Document details regarding the dogs walked, including duration and any notable observations.
- Safely transport pets to and from their residences.
- Manage pet waste disposal responsibly.
- Ensure all pets have access to fresh water and food as needed.
- Coordinate appropriate walking schedules for the dogs.
- Implement safety measures to protect the dogs and the public.
- Provide regular updates to pet owners, including photos and location tracking.
- Alert owners to any health issues or injuries that may arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience as a dog walker, shelter volunteer, or in personal animal care.
- Ability to recognize various dog breeds and their behaviors.
- A genuine passion for animal care.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Physical stamina to maintain cleanliness in all daycare areas.
- Familiarity with different types of dog harnesses, leashes, and collars.
