We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at Crimson Phoenix. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in supporting the mission of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance and training to junior officers, researching and responding to customer needs, gathering data and maintaining employee records, and analyzing complex information to inform business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, with expertise in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel. Additionally, they will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise written notifications. A current and active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph is required, as the customer is not sponsoring clearances.

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, including:

  • Providing feedback, instruction, guidance, and training to junior officers for development/learning purposes.
  • Researching and responding to customer needs by applying and interpreting established policies and procedures.
  • Gathering data and preparing, tracking, maintaining, and updating employee records and information.
  • Maintaining metrics statistics and analyzing and evaluating complex information to form sound conclusions and taking appropriate action(s).
  • Applying general business processes of the office to resolve routine to complex mission-driven issues.
  • Drafting written notifications that are understandable and may assist customers in becoming self-sufficient in finding information to answer a variety of payroll questions.
  • Participating in team initiatives focused on improving, creating, and advancing efficiencies.
  • Providing feedback and assessments metrics on when a non-self-release officer can/should be certified as self-release both for timesheet corrections and arrival/departure notifications.
  • Occasionally briefing the customer's orientation class and other unique programs.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
